Join the Petoskey Audubon Society for a Bird Walk at the farm!
The walk will begin at 8:30 am and last about two hours, participants are free to leave at any time. Petoskey Audubon members will lead the walk. Participants will stroll the gentle mowed paths of beautiful lavender fields. The farm also has ponds and water that attract a variety of birds. Wear clothing appropriate for walking hills and fields. Family-friendly but not suitable for small children.
Meet at the drying shed of Lavender Hill farm at 7354 Horton Bay Rd about 3 miles south of US 31 on the east side of the road. Park at the pole barn drying shed with the lavender roof, which is just south of the farm’s main entrance. The bird walk will begin at the drying shed. Look for Audubon sign.
Info that applies to all PRAS field trips: Walks are free, open to the public and children are welcome with supervising adult. No smoking nor pets allowed on these walks. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars. A few loaner binoculars will be available. Checklists will be provided. Please dress for conditions and wear closed-toed shoes. All walks are held on a weather-permitting basis
