Try this lavender twist on this traditional buttery treat.
Ingredients:
- ½ pound butter
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 ½ cups sifted flour
- 2 tablespoons rice flour
- 1 tablespoon ground lavender
- Preheat oven to 325⁰ F.
Preparation
- Beat butter until creamy.
- Add 2 tablespoons sugar at a time, beating all the while.
- Add sifted flour ½ cup at a time while beating.
- Pat down in 9-inch square pan.
- Prick with fork.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes or until light brown.
- Remove, sprinkle with a little sugar and let cool 10 minutes before cutting into small rectangles.
