Lavender Hill Farm & Stiggs Brewing

Team Up to Give Back

Boyne City, MI – On Friday, July 8, 2022, Lavender Hill Farm, Stiggs Brewing Company, and concert attendees raised over $10,000 in just 20 minutes for Feed-A-Friend.

Shortly after Lavender Hill Farm’s 300 or so guests tucked away their picnic baskets and settled into their theater or lawn seats in preparation for a Series performance by the Funky Butt Brass Band, a record-breaking auction took the farm by storm. The excited crowd filled the century-old barn with applause as guests battled with numbered cards for prizes like a Private Lavender Essential Oil Distillation Evening at the farm, a Custom Brew School Package at Stiggs, and a basket filled with lavender treats including Lavender Vodka. Many of the donations were made by individuals donating for the cause with gifts of $250, $100 and $50. Spirits were high throughout the evening, enhanced by the talented auctioneer, Wade Leist, and a successful Stiggs Beer Bar located on the Barn’s side deck where guests may donate for a cup of brew.

“I am blown away by the kindness and generosity of this music-loving community. Thank you, Lavender Hill Farm, for hosting such a fun event! We will be back!” – Concert Attendee

“With what was raised on Friday evening, Stiggs will be able to feed people for 6 months.” –Darek Shankland

Stiggs’ Feed-a-Friend is a 501C3 Non-Profit aimed at helping our community members get a hot meal to eat. Currently, this program runs every Sunday from 4-8pm. Individuals or families in need can give us a call for a free meal…NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

The Series at Lavender Hill Farm is a live music concert series held in a beautifully renovated, multi-use barn starring some of the best talent from across the United States and beyond. The bands are carefully selected to uniquely represent a wide array of music styles and bring an unexpected variety to Northern Michigan. Guests arrive
early to enjoy picnicking with friends on the lawn overlooking fields of lavender. The venue, built in 1920, has been skillfully adapted with historical theater seating, lighting, sound, and stage. Each year, a local charity is selected and funds are raised through the Stiggs Beer Bar, picnic table rentals, and the annual Series auction. In previous years, the Series has helped raise money for the Petoskey, Charlevoix, and Boyne City Libraries, and Challenge Mountain.

There are six shows remaining for the 2022 season of The Series at Lavender Hill Farm. Get your tickets today and join the fun!
