Join us for a rich evening of storytelling under the stars with Star Lore Historian Mary Stewart Adams, your engaging guide to naked eye observation of summer’s night sky wonders. During this star adventure Mary will lead you to the outer edge of the Perseid Meteor Shower peak, to cast your best wishes to the stars and hear the tales of Perseus, the comet that causes his shower, and the drama unfolding through the night overhead in this season. On this night, the planets Saturn and Jupiter will rise up in the east after the Sun sets low in the west, dominating the night as they march across the thickest region of the Milky Way stars toward their rare and great conjunction later this year.
